Hi! Let me briefly introduce myself. My name is Goldie and i am a Gemmologist (FGAA)
What is Gemmology and who are Gemmologist?
Gemmology is the science dealing with natural and artificial gems and gemstones . It is considered a geoscience and a branch of mineralogy. Some jewellers are academically trained gemmologists and are qualified to identify and evaluate gems .
Gemmologist is a person who has been trained and accredited in diamonds and colored stones. I obtained my Diploma in Gemmology (FGAA) from The Gemmological Association of Australia (GAA) in 2009. *Registered number: 5661
FGAA (Fellow of the Gemmoligical Association of Australia) - Gemmology, the science of gemstones, requires that the gemmologist (FGAA) identify gemstones using his or her specialised knowledge and appropriate gem testing instruments. A qualified gemmologist has under gone a minimum of two years study in the identification of gemstones, ornamental materials, biological gem materials and their synthetic (lab created duplicates), imitations (look-alikes) and value enhanced forms. Following completion of the above course and further training may lead to additional qualifications eg. Diamond Technician/ Grader (DGG), Registered Valuer and Jewellery Designer.
How i started this website
I was a beading hobbyist back in 2007 and have created many beautiful one of a kind designs of necklaces, bracelets and earrings. Materials i selected for my jewellery pieces are mainly (925) Sterling Silver, Swarovski Austria Crystals, Czech Glass, Semi-precious stone, handcrafted lampwork & freshwater pearls. I especially love to use gemstones in my designed pieces even though back then i haven't acquired much knowledge on gemstones. I started this website in late 2007 because many friends who love to wear my handmade jewelleries suggested that i should go online to sell these unique pieces. This website is also a convinient way of bringing everyone to my website to see my creations.
How i started Divine Creative Jewellery
After the completion of my diploma in 2009. I have decided to turn my passion and knowledge for gemstones into a jewellery business. Divine Creative Jewellery is established in 2010 and is based in Sydney. As a huge fan of colored gemstones, my goal is to provide quality jewelleries of the best value to customers. This year, i have been traveling overseas sourcing from reputable manufacturers who hold true to their standards of quality and high integrity. As a home based business setup, most savings can be passed (high rental & insurance cost) to our customers. Our jewelleries are priced less than the RRP charged by most retail shops.
